<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>20 ILCS 2105/2105-400</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>745 ILCS 49/68</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act. Provides for the registration of volunteer health practitioners with a registration system for the provision of health or veterinary services in the State for a host entity while an emergency declaration is in effect. Provides for the creation of the registration system. Provides that the Illinois Emergency Management Agency shall be the administrating authority of the uniform Act. Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois to grant the Secretary of Financial and Professional Regulation the power to request the services of emergency volunteer health practitioners registered under the Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act. Amends the Good Samaritan Act to include volunteers under the Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act in the list of disaster relief volunteers granted immunity from liability under the Act and to broaden the types of emergency situations in which the immunity applies.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 2</synopsistitle>

Restores current law within the Good Samaritan Act.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the contents of the engrossed bill with the following changes. Makes changes in the definitions Section. Changes certain references throughout the Act from "host entity" to "host entity or disaster relief organization". Changes the administering agency under the Act from the Department of Public Health to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. Makes changes concerning the provision of volunteer health or veterinary services and administrative sanctions, the relation of the Act to other laws, and workers' compensation coverage. Sets forth a provision concerning the uniformity of application and construction of the Act. Provides that neither the Governor nor any agency or agency head under the jurisdiction of the Governor has any rulemaking authority under the Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.
