<reference>625 ILCS 5/3-809</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-809</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends provisions of the Illinois Vehicle Code exempting vehicles meeting certain criteria from registration. Provides that those provisions do not prohibit the exempt vehicle from towing another vehicle if the towed vehicle does not exceed the registered weight of 8,000 pounds, is used exclusively for transportation to and from the work site, and is not used for carrying counter weights or other material related to the operation of the exempt vehicle while under tow.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>In the language providing that the provisions of the Illinois Vehicle Code exempting certain vehicles from registration do not prohibit the exempt vehicle from towing another vehicle if the towed vehicle meets specified requirements, provides that the towed vehicle must also display proper and current registration plates.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
