<reference>225 ILCS 65/65-5</reference><aliasreference>was 225 ILCS 65/15-10</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Nurse Practice Act. Provides for the licensure of a registered professional nurse as a certified registered nurse anesthetist who does not have the required graduate degree, provided that he or she meets certain other requirements. Requires the Department to provide by rule for the advanced practice nurse licensure of certified registered nurse anesthetists who do not have the required graduate degree, apply for licensure before July 1, 2018, and meet certain other requirements. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. Removes certain references to rulemaking by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In a provision concerning the licensure of APNs as certified registered nurse anesthetists, sets forth information that must be submitted to the Department for such licensure. Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
