<reference>725 ILCS 120/4.5</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>725 ILCS 207/75</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>730 ILCS 152/120</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act and the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act. Provides that notice to a victim, of a sex offender's release from custody, shall be made at least 60 days before release. Amends the Sex Offender Community Notification Law. Provides that notice that a sex offender is registered, residing, employed, or attending an institution of higher education in the jurisdiction shall be provided to the victim of the sex offense, upon written, facsimile transmission, or e-mail request of the victim, by the sheriff of the appropriate county or in Chicago by the Chicago Police Department.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Provides that the Prisoner Review Board shall notify the victim of the sex offense of the prisoner's eligibility for release (rather than release) on parole, mandatory supervised release, electronic detention, work release, international transfer or exchange. Provides that the notification shall be made to the victim at least 30 days, whenever possible, before release of the sex offender.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 2</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Provides that the victim of the sex offense in order to receive notice of registration of the sex offender must either register under the statewide victim and witness notification system as provided in the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act or notify the appropriate sheriff or the Chicago Police Department.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>In the amendatory changes to the Sex Offender Community Notification Law, deletes new provision that the victim of a sex offense in order to receive notice that the sex offender is residing, employed, or attending an institution of higher education in the victim's jurisdiction must either register under the statewide victim and witness notification system or notify the appropriate sheriff or Chicago Police Department.
