Provides that a defendant who at the time of the commission of the offense has attained the age of 18 or more and who has been found guilty of first degree murder may be sentenced to death if the murdered individual was under 18 (rather than under 12) years of age and the death resulted from exceptionally brutal or heinous behavior indicative of wanton cruelty. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections.
