<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>750 ILCS 5/602.1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 40, par. 602.1</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. Provides that in a joint custodial situation, the parents of the child may agree, or the court may order, that the physical residence of the child shall be the former marital residence and that one parent shall reside at the residence with the child during the time that that parent has physical custody of the child pursuant to the Joint Parenting Agreement or Joint Parenting Order and the other parent shall reside elsewhere during that time. Provides that this provision may be referred to as the "child homestead stability" provision of the Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes a provision that the court may order that the physical residence of the child shall be the former marital residence, regardless of which parent has physical custody of the child at a particular time (retains the provision that the parents may agree on such an arrangement).</SynopsisText></synopsis>
