Provides that the early release from parole awarded shall be in addition to, and shall not be affected by, the award of good conduct under any other provision, but shall not be pursuant to the guidelines and restrictions set forth for prisoners engaged in full-time educational programs provided by the Department of Corrections. Provides that the early release from parole shall be available only to parolees who have not yet previously earned a high school diploma or a GED.Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to:730 ILCS 5/3-6-3Adds reference to:730 ILCS 5/3-3-7from Ch. 38, par. 1003-3-7Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that when the subject of parole or mandatory supervised release is in compliance with all conditions of his or her parole or mandatory supervised release, the subject shall receive a reduction of the period of his or her parole or mandatory supervised release of 90 days upon passage of the high school level Test of General Educational Development during the period of his or her parole or mandatory supervised release.
