| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Nicholas D. Romas, of Chicago, Illinois, |
| 4 |
| who passed away on October 26, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Nicholas D. Romas was born March 13, 1933 in |
| 6 |
| Nestani, Greece, and was very proud of his Greek heritage; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Nicholas D. Romas was a kind and compassionate |
| 8 |
| man, virtuous of character and gentle in spirit, admired and |
| 9 |
| respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved |
| 10 |
| by his family; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Nicholas D. Romas was the beloved husband of Kathy |
| 12 |
| (nee Lalagos); the loving father of Elaine (William) Rackos, |
| 13 |
| Matina (Sotiris) Kolokotronis, Jeannie (Joseph) Dunn, and |
| 14 |
| Jamie Romas; the proud grandfather of John Basil Rackos, |
| 15 |
| Constantine Angelo, Marisa Elena and Nicholas Romas |
| 16 |
| Kolokotronis, and Joey and Jack Dunn; the dear brother of Vasso |
| 17 |
| (the late Savvas) Kounas, Tasia (Nicholas) Papadakis, Sam |
| 18 |
| (Anny) Romas, Paraskevi (Kostas) Kordopitoulas, Dena (George) |
| 19 |
| Zarkos, the late Kostas (Koletta) Roumeliotis, Petros |
| 20 |
| (Demetra) Romas, Anastasios (Maria) Roumeliotis, and George |
| 21 |
| (Sophia) Romas; and the uncle and friend of many; therefore, be |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |

| his family and friends, the passing of Nicholas D. Romas; and |
| 26 |
| be it further
