| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Jerome P. Drobnick of |
| 4 |
| Waukegan on December 26, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Drobnick was born on August 25, 1911 in North |
| 6 |
| Chicago; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, for the past 62 years, Mr. Drobnick was the owner |
| 8 |
| and operator of Jerome P. Drobnick Real Estate in Waukegan; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, During World War II, Mr. Drobnick served in the |
| 10 |
| United States Navy from 1942-1945; he served on board the |
| 11 |
| aircraft carrier USS Makassar Strait CVE 91 that brought him |
| 12 |
| into action in both the Iwo Jima and Okinawa campaigns; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Drobnick was a member of the K.S.K.J., St. |
| 14 |
| Anastasia Church, the American Legion Homer Dahringer Post #281 |
| 15 |
| in Waukegan, AM VETS, the Chicago Catholic University Club, the |
| 16 |
| Loyal Order of Moose, the Elks Club, and the Glen Flora Country |
| 17 |
| Club; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Drobnick was a world traveler, an avid golfer, |
| 19 |
| and was the organizer of his annual high school class reunion; |
| 20 |
| and |
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Drobnick was preceded in death by his first |
| 22 |
| wife, Elizabeth; and |
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, the passing of Mr. Drobnick has been deeply felt |
| 24 |
| by all who knew him, especially his daughters Kathleen and |
| 25 |
| Betsy; therefore, be it
