| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
|
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Wilma P. Thiemann, age 81, |
| 4 |
| of
Peoria, on October 15, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on January 15, 1924, in New York, New |
| 6 |
| York, to George and Ella (Petry) Bueckle; she married Robert G. |
| 7 |
| Thiemann on May 13, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, During World War II, Wilma was a W.A.V.E. (Women |
| 9 |
| Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) in the United States |
| 10 |
| Navy and held the rank of pharmacist mate; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Wilma was a life-long student of the Bible; she |
| 12 |
| was a long-time member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance |
| 13 |
| Church of Peoria; more recently, she attended the South Side |
| 14 |
| Mission Church; her service as a tutor and volunteer at the |
| 15 |
| South Side Mission was deeply appreciated; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Wilma loved to walk and she avidly pursued that |
| 17 |
| pastime; she was well known for her efforts as a city |
| 18 |
| beautifier; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband George on |
| 20 |
| May 3, 2002, in Peoria; and |
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Wilma P. Thiemann is felt by all |
| 22 |
| who knew and loved her, especially her children, Bruce (Teri) |
| 23 |
| Thiemann, Fred (Carol) Thiemann, Jeri (Tim) Taylor, June (Dan) |
| 24 |
| Thiemann-Bartholomay, and Dr. William G. Thiemann; and eleven |
| 25 |
| grandchildren; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
