| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Paula Diane Melvin of West |
| 4 |
| Frankfort on Sunday, July 3, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on August 4, 1932, in Chicago to John |
| 6 |
| Jackson and Charlotte (Dvorak) Jackson; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Paula Diane Melvin has been deeply |
| 8 |
| felt by many, especially her sons, David Schoenecke and Steve |
| 9 |
| Reese; her daughter, Bonnie Shileny; her brothers, Charles |
| 10 |
| Jackson, Raymond Lipp, and Peter Lipp; her sisters, Shirley |
| 11 |
| Costello, Florence Cobb, Barbara Peacock, Lorrie Mack, and |
| 12 |
| Marie Welch; her seven grandchildren; her 26 nieces and |
| 13 |
| nephews; and her four loving dogs and two cats; she was |
| 14 |
| preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kenneth |
| 15 |
| Shoenecke, Ray Reese, Jim Vandyke, and Troy Melvin; her |
| 16 |
| brother, Allen Lee Lipp; and her sisters, Dorothy Chopske and |
| 17 |
| Susan Boggs; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 19 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 20 |
| Paula Diane Melvin, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 21 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 22 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 25 |
| sympathy.
