| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with sadness of the death of Eileen Veach Lucas of |
| 4 |
| Christopher on Thursday, July 7, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on January 8, 1921, in Christopher to |
| 6 |
| Clyde A. and Effie Mae (Vaughn) Veach; she married Frank R. |
| 7 |
| Lucas; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lucas was a homemaker and a clerk at Towne |
| 9 |
| Pharmacy; she was a member of Christview Christian Church in |
| 10 |
| Christopher; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Eileen Veach Lucas has been deeply |
| 12 |
| felt by many, especially her son, Robert Skidmore; her |
| 13 |
| daughter, Karen (Lucas) Heise; her grandchildren, Kara Minor, |
| 14 |
| Alicia Thomas, David Heise, Kathryn Joy Heise, and Jonathan |
| 15 |
| Edward Lucas Heise; her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Trajan |
| 16 |
| Minor and Ryleigh Thomas; and her nephew, Ronald Scott; she was |
| 17 |
| preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, |
| 18 |
| and her sister; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 20 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 21 |
| Eileen Veach Lucas, and we extend our sincerest condolences to |
| 22 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 23 |
| further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 26 |
| sympathy.
