| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Caswell Martin of Norris |
| 4 |
| City on Tuesday, June 7, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on September 5, 1933 in Carrier Mills |
| 6 |
| to Lloyd and Ruth L. (Tarrant) Martin; he valiantly served his |
| 7 |
| country and was a Korean War veteran; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a retired custodian at Ball-Chatham School |
| 9 |
| District in Chatham and was a guitar enthusiast; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, His passing has been deeply felt by many, |
| 11 |
| especially his daughter and her husband, Karen and Robert "Bob" |
| 12 |
| Armstrong; his sisters, Mona Odle and Sandra Clayton; his |
| 13 |
| grandchildren, Todd (and Erica) Armstrong and Jessica |
| 14 |
| Armstrong Phillips; his great-grandchild, Kaleigh Jane |
| 15 |
| Phillips; and his numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 17 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 18 |
| Caswell Martin, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 19 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 20 |
| further
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 23 |
| sympathy.
