| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Harriet C. Trotter of |
| 4 |
| Aurora on Sunday, May 23, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on December 11, 1915, in Chicago to |
| 6 |
| Ralph and Edith Coughenour; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Trotter was a member of Trinity Episcopal |
| 8 |
| Church in Aurora; she attended the University of Illinois where |
| 9 |
| she was an active member of the Kappa Gamma Sorority; she was |
| 10 |
| also an avid bridge player; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Harriet C. Trotter has been deeply |
| 12 |
| felt by many, especially her children, Mary T. Richert, C. |
| 13 |
| Thomas Trotter, and Julie Jakowski; her nine grandchildren; and |
| 14 |
| her nine great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her |
| 15 |
| parents; her husband, Calvin T. Trotter in 1987; and her |
| 16 |
| brothers, Kenneth and Ralph Coughenour; therefore, be it
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 |
| Harriet C. Trotter, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 20 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 21 |
| further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 24 |
| sympathy.
