| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Stella Nadine Phillips of |
| 4 |
| Zeigler on April 24, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Phillips was born December 28, 1931, in |
| 6 |
| Makanda, to Vern and Beulah (Tanner) Garner; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She married Ted Phillips on February 2, 1957, in |
| 8 |
| Corinth, Mississippi; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Zeigler American Legion |
| 10 |
| and Zeigler Eagles Auxiliaries; she was of the Protestant |
| 11 |
| faith; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and a |
| 13 |
| brother, Carroll Eugene Garner; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Stella Nadine Phillips is felt by |
| 15 |
| all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Ted; her |
| 16 |
| daughter, Karen S. Phillips; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy |
| 17 |
| Garner and Martha Bubanovich; and several nieces and nephews; |
| 18 |
| therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 20 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 21 |
| Stella Nadine Phillips and extend our sincerest condolences to |
| 22 |
| her family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
| 23 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 25 |
| sympathy.
