| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of (Ulysses) Leon Hill on |
| 4 |
| Sunday, April 3, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on October 6, 1927, to Izola and Leon |
| 6 |
| Hill, Sr., in Canton, Mississippi; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He valiantly served his country as a member of the |
| 8 |
| United States Army; after his discharge, he attended Canton |
| 9 |
| Commercial College in Mississippi; he later moved to Chicago, |
| 10 |
| where he met and married Geraldine Regans on December 6, 1981; |
| 11 |
| and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's |
| 13 |
| Witnesses, was baptized on July 19, 1989, and remained a |
| 14 |
| faithful member until his passing; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of (Ulysses) Leon Hill has been deeply |
| 16 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Geri Hill; his daughters, |
| 17 |
| Mary Ann and Emma Jean; his six grandchildren; his twelve |
| 18 |
| great-grandchildren; his stepson, Eric; his sisters, Gladys |
| 19 |
| Archie, Katie Hill, and Dorothy (James) Grandberry; his |
| 20 |
| brother, William (Rosie) Hill; and his many other relatives and |
| 21 |
| countless friends; two brothers, Leon, Jr., and Jesse Hill, |
| 22 |
| preceded him in death; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 24 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 25 |
| (Ulysses) Leon Hill, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 26 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 27 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
