| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2980 on page 1, by |

| replacing lines 8,9, and 10 with the following:

| "(a) From January 1, 2004 until December 31, 2009

| whenever an officer of the Department of State Police or an |

| officer of a county or municipal police department

| on page 2, by replacing lines 20 and 21 with the following:
