| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2257

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2257 on page 1, by |

| replacing lines 21 through 26 with the following:

| "directed by the State Superintendent of Education. If a child |
| 5 |
| who was eligible to receive services under this Section (i) is |
| 6 |
| eligible for the subsidized adoption program available through |
| 7 |
| the Department of Children and Family Services or is under |
| 8 |
| subsidized guardianship and (ii) continues to receive support |
| 9 |
| services from the Department of Children and Family Services, |
| 10 |
| then the child shall continue to be eligible to receive |
| 11 |
| services under this Section and the school district shall |
| 12 |
| continue to be reimbursed under this Section. The changes made |
| 13 |
| to this Section by this amendatory Act of the 94th General |
| 14 |
| Assembly apply only to children who are eligible for the |
| 15 |
| subsidized adoption program or who are under subsidized |
| 16 |
| guardianship on or after the effective date of this amendatory |
| 17 |
| Act of the 94th General Assembly.".
