| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The Illinois Credit Union League will celebrate |
| 3 |
| its 75th anniversary during the League's annual convention on |
| 4 |
| April 21-23, 2005, at the Hilton Chicago Hotel and Towers; over |
| 5 |
| 1,500 credit union officials from throughout Illinois attend |
| 6 |
| the annual convention; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The League serves 400 affiliated credit unions |
| 8 |
| doing business in Illinois that, in turn, provide financial |
| 9 |
| services to almost 3 million citizens; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The League has a long and proud history of |
| 11 |
| promoting the credit union philosophy of "People Helping |
| 12 |
| People" through its legislative, educational, compliance, and |
| 13 |
| public relations promotions; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The League also serves credit unions and their |
| 15 |
| members through ICUL Service Corporation, its business |
| 16 |
| subsidiary, which provides efficient and cost-effective ATM, |
| 17 |
| credit and debit card, item processing, automobile and mortgage |
| 18 |
| lending, marketing, and a variety of other transactional |
| 19 |
| programs to benefit their member-owners; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, The League must also be commended for its spirit |
| 21 |
| of community involvement epitomized through the Illinois |
| 22 |
| Credit Union League Foundation which promotes the self-help |
| 23 |
| ideals of credit unions through grants, scholarships, and |
| 24 |
| cooperative partnerships; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 26 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 27 |
| we congratulate the Illinois Credit Union League on the |
| 28 |
| occasion of its 75th anniversary; and be it further
