| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives offer our sincere appreciation to Janet |
| 4 |
| Muchnik for her many years of service as Park Forest Village |
| 5 |
| Manager; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Janet has served as Village Manager since 1995 and |
| 7 |
| as Village Trustee from 1984 to 1988; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, During her tenure as Village Manager, she began |
| 9 |
| the transformation of the Park Forest Centre into a traditional |
| 10 |
| downtown; as a result of her efforts, the downtown received the |
| 11 |
| Burnham Award; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, As a strong supporter of the arts, she also |
| 13 |
| incorporated the local art organizations as a vital part of the |
| 14 |
| new downtown; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, She served as Rotary President in 2003, past |
| 16 |
| president of Diversity, Inc., and was a recipient of the Abbey |
| 17 |
| Foundation's Women Together Award; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, We recognize her service to Park Forest and salute |
| 19 |
| her dedication to improving the downtown; therefore, be it
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 21 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we do hereby offer our congratulations to Janet Muchnik on her |
| 23 |
| retirement and express our gratitude for her many years of |
| 24 |
| public service; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to Janet Muchnik as an expression of our esteem.
