    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3874, AS AMENDED, in

Section 5, Sec. 33-3, in the paragraph beginning "A public 
4
officer or employee", by replacing "Class 2
3" with "Class 3";

and

in Section 5, Sec. 33-7, subsection (a), by replacing item (1) 
7
with the  following:

        "(1) intentionally or knowingly makes, uses, or causes 
9
    to be made or used a false record or statement to conceal, 
10
    avoid, or decrease an obligation to pay or transmit money 
11
    or property;"; and
 
12
in Section 5, Sec. 33-7, subsection (a), item (3), by replacing 
13
"lawful authority" with "contractual responsibility"; and

 
14
in Section 5, Sec. 33-7, subsection (b), by replacing "Class 2 
15
felony" with "Class 3 felony".
