| AN ACT concerning transportation.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Joint Airports Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (620 ILCS 20/1) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 601)

| Sec. 1. Any county or any municipality within the
the |
| 8 |
| county may, under the
"Intergovernmental Cooperation Act", |
| 9 |
| approved September 11, 1973, as now
or hereafter amended, enter |
| 10 |
| into an agreement with other counties or municipalities,
or |
| 11 |
| both, to jointly establish and operate an airport and its |
| 12 |
| facilities.
The Intergovernmental Agreement shall be effective |
| 13 |
| upon its execution by
the corporate authorities of each county |
| 14 |
| or municipality that is a party
to the agreement and shall |
| 15 |
| continue in effect until terminated
as provided in Section 5 of |
| 16 |
| this Act. |
