| AN ACT concerning transportation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Airport Zoning Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (620 ILCS 25/2) (from Ch. 15 1/2, par. 48.2)
|

| Sec. 2. Airport.
"Airport" means any area of land or water, |
| 8 |
| or both, designed and
set aside for the landing and taking-off |
| 9 |
| of aircraft and utilized or to be
utilized in the interest of |
| 10 |
| the public for such purposes. An airport is
"publicly-owned" if |
| 11 |
| the portion thereof used for the landing and taking-off
of |
| 12 |
| aircraft is owned, operated, controlled, leased to or leased by |
| 13 |
| the
United States, any agency or department thereof, this |
| 14 |
| State, or any other
State, or any municipality or other |
| 15 |
| political subdivision of this State or
any other State, or any |
| 16 |
| other governmental body, public agency or other
public |
| 17 |
| corporation.
