| AN ACT concerning liquor.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Liquor Control Act of 1934 is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 5-2 as follows: |
| 6 |
| (235 ILCS 5/5-2) (from Ch. 43, par. 117)

| Sec. 5-2. All licenses, except a distributor's, importing |
| 8 |
| distributor's, non-beverage user's, a special use
permit, and a |
| 9 |
| special event retailer's license, issued by the State |
| 10 |
| Commission,
shall be valid from the date of issuance through |
| 11 |
| the last day of the eleventh
month that begins after the month |
| 12 |
| in which the license is issued unless sooner revoked or |
| 13 |
| suspended as
provided in this Act. Beginning January 1, 2006, |
| 14 |
| the license of a distributor or importing distributor shall |
| 15 |
| uniformly expire on January 1 of each year unless sooner |
| 16 |
| revoked or suspended as provided in this Act. A non-beverage |
| 17 |
| user's license shall
expire only when the quantity of alcoholic |
| 18 |
| liquor which may be purchased under
it has been exhausted. A |
| 19 |
| special use permit license and a special event
retailer's |
| 20 |
| license (not-for-profit) shall be issued for a specific time |
| 21 |
| period,
not to exceed 15 days per licensee per location in any |
| 22 |
| 12 month period.
Licenses shall state thereon the class to |
| 23 |
| which they belong, the names of the
licensees and the addresses |
| 24 |
| and description of the premises for which they are
granted, or |
| 25 |
| in the case of caterer retailers, auctions, railroads, |
| 26 |
| airplanes
and boats, a designation thereof by number or name; |
| 27 |
| and shall state the dates
of their issuance and expiration.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |

| 1, 2006.
