<reference>720 ILCS 5/10-8</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 10-8</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends provisions of the Criminal Code of 1961 prohibiting the sale of a ticket to an unemancipated minor under 17 years of age for travel on a public conveyance to a destination outside Illinois without the consent of the minor's parents or guardian. Excludes, from the definition of "public conveyance", a public transportation vehicle operated by an entity under the jurisdiction of the Local Mass Transit District Act or the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
