<SynopsisText>     Requests that Southern Illinois University provide, on an annual basis, an update on minority participation in all fellowship and graduate assistance programs at the university to the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus and the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Provides that the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus, the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus, and the entire General Assembly (instead of just the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus and the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus) desire to be updated on SIU's progress in minority participation in its fellowship programs and to stay informed of the events surrounding the investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice and SIU's progress in increasing the number of African American and Hispanic-Latino students in both fellowship and graduate assistance programs and shall receive an update from SIU on such minority participation.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
