<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>225 ILCS 60/16</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 4400-16</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Provides that any person who fails any step of the examination for licensure as a medical doctor, doctor of osteopathy or osteopathic medicine, or doctor of chiropractic is entitled to take that step of the examination not more than 2 subsequent times (now, any person failing any examination for licensure a total of 5 times shall thereafter be ineligible for further examinations until that person submits to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation evidence of further formal professional study in an accredited institution). Provides that the licensing board may establish additional requirements for those applicants who, after having failed the same step of the examination 3 or more times, wish to take that step of the examination again.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
