Requires each school board to allow a parent or guardian of twins or higher-order multiples to request that the children be placed in the same classroom or in separate classrooms if the children are in the same grade level at the same school. Provides that a school must provide the placement requested by the parent or guardian, unless, at the end of the initial grading period, the school's principal, in consultation with the children's classroom teacher, determines that the classroom placement requested by the parent or guardian is disruptive to the school, in which case, the principal may request that the school board determine the children's classroom placement. Effective July 1, 2006.House Amendment No. 1 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the contents of the bill but provides that the classroom placement of children with disabilities must be determined by each child's individualized education program.
