<reference>720 ILCS 5/12-3.2</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 12-3.2</aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/12-3.3</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/12-30</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 12-30</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Increases the penalties for domestic battery and violation of an order of protection from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class 4 felony for a first offense and from a Class 4 felony for a second or subsequent conviction to a Class 3 felony. Increases the penalties for these offenses from a Class 4 felony to a Class 3 felony if the defendant had a prior conviction for certain specified offenses. Increases the penalties for aggravated domestic battery from a Class 2 felony to a Class 1 felony.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
