Provides that the time may be extended by an executive order issued by the Governor.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts provisions of the original bill with the following changes. Removes references to "civil engineers". Provides that the exemption from civil liability is for professional services (instead of engineering services) of the listed professionals. Provides that, for the immunity, the professional services shall be in response to a disaster or catastrophic event (instead of in response to an emergency, natural disaster or other catastrophic event). Provides that professional services must be performed without fee for the immunity to apply. Provides that the immunity applies to services that are provided without fee during or within 60 days (instead of 90 days) following the end of an emergency, disaster, or catastrophic event. Removes language authorizing the Governor to extend the time period by executive order.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
