Provides that upon admission and prior to release from a Department of Corrections facility, each inmate shall be tested for infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and any other identified causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Present law requires HIV testing only of an inmate prior to release who has a documented history of intravenous drug use, and upon the receipt of that inmate's written informed consent.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
