| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives wish to congratulate the 2004 Holy Cross High |
| 4 |
| School cheerleading squad on becoming the United Performing |
| 5 |
| Association (UPA) Varsity One Division Champions and being |
| 6 |
| crowned High School Cheerleaders Grand Champions, the highest |
| 7 |
| honor cheerleaders can receive; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, UPA began in 1988 and from local to international |
| 9 |
| events, UPA continues to be a leading organizer of cheer and |
| 10 |
| dance events across the United States and around the world; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, UPA is proud to recognize individuals and teams |
| 12 |
| for their outstanding academic performance and talent; the |
| 13 |
| organization continually strives to reward individuals who |
| 14 |
| excel not only in cheerleading and dance, but also in the |
| 15 |
| classroom; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Holy Cross High School of River Grove has been |
| 17 |
| competing in UPA for 3 years; and
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the cheerleading squad are Audrey |
