| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate |
| 4 |
| Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Baldwin of Brookfield on being |
| 5 |
| named 2003 Firefighter/Paramedic of the Year by the |
| 6 |
| Brookfield-LaGrange Park Lions Club; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Brian Baldwin has repeatedly been involved in |
| 8 |
| emergency medical situations where his exemplary actions as the |
| 9 |
| senior paramedic have greatly benefitted the patient; he has |
| 10 |
| become well-known for providing quick medical intervention to |
| 11 |
| keep people alive when he is in charge of a traumatic medical |
| 12 |
| event ambulance response; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, On January 23, 2003, Firefighter/Paramedic |
| 14 |
| Baldwin used his superior skills and proper judgment to treat |
| 15 |
| and assess a 77-year old female who had fallen and complained |
| 16 |
| of facial pain; the injuries were much worse than perceived, |
| 17 |
| but the pre-hospital care and intervention by |
| 18 |
| Firefighter/Paramedic Baldwin resulted in a favorable outcome |
| 19 |
| for the patient; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, He is a major contributor to projects at the fire |
| 21 |
| station that greatly benefit everyone; his outstanding skills |
| 22 |
| and dedication led to him receiving this award; therefore, be |
| 23 |
| it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 25 |
| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 26 |
| congratulate Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Baldwin of Brookfield |
| 27 |
| on being named 2003 Firefighter/Paramedic of the Year by the |
| 28 |
| Brookfield-LaGrange Park Lions Club; and be it further
