| AN ACT in relation to county government.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 |
| 1-2004 as
follows:
|
| 6 |
| (55 ILCS 5/1-2004) (from Ch. 34, par. 1-2004)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 1-2004. Restriction. No county shall be reduced, |
| 8 |
| under the
provisions of this Division, to less contents than |
| 9 |
| 400 square miles; nor
shall any county line be made to pass |
| 10 |
| within less than 10
ten miles of
the county seat of the county |
| 11 |
| from which territory is so transferred.
