    AN ACT concerning health care provider regulation.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Hospital Report Card Act is amended by 
5
changing
Section 20 as follows:

    (210 ILCS 86/20)

    Sec. 20. Orientation and training.

    (a) All health care facilities must establish
shall have 
9
established
an orientation process
that
provides initial job 
10
training and information and assesses the direct care
nursing 
11
staff's
ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.

    (b) Personnel not competent for a given unit may
shall not 
13
be
assigned to work
there
without direct supervision until 
14
appropriately trained.

    (c) Staff training information will be available upon

16
request, without any information identifying a
patient, 
17
employee, or licensed professional
 at the hospital.
