| AN ACT in relation to civil procedure.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing
Section 2-407 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (735 ILCS 5/2-407) (from Ch. 110, par. 2-407)
|

| Sec. 2-407. Nonjoinder and misjoinder of parties; change of |
| 8 |
| parties.
No action shall be dismissed for misjoinder of |
| 9 |
| parties, or dismissed
for nonjoinder of necessary parties |
| 10 |
| without first affording reasonable
opportunity to add them as |
| 11 |
| parties. New parties may be added and parties
misjoined may be |
| 12 |
| dropped by order of the court, at any stage of the
cause, |
| 13 |
| before or after judgment, as the ends of justice may require |
| 14 |
| and
on terms that
which the court may fix.
