    Amends the Organ Donor Leave Act.  Authorizes full-time contractual State employees to participate in the program of paid leave to donate organs, bone marrow, blood, and blood platelets.  Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning State employees.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Organ Donor Leave Act is amended  by changing 
5
Section 10 as follows:

    (5 ILCS 327/10)

    Sec. 10. Definitions. As used in this Act:

8
    "Agency" means any branch, department, board, committee, 
9
or commission of
State government, but does not include units 
10
of local government, school
districts, or boards of election 
11
commissioners.

    "Department" means the Department of Central Management 
13
Services.

    "Participating employee" means (i) a permanent full-time 
15
or part-time employee
who has
been employed by an agency for a 
16
period of 6 months or more and who donates an
organ, bone 
17
marrow, blood, or blood platelets or (ii) a full-time 
18
contractual State employee who donates an organ, bone marrow, 
19
blood, or blood platelets.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon

becoming law.
