 1        AN ACT in relation to wildlife.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Wildlife  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 3.1-2 as follows:

 6        (520 ILCS 5/3.1-2) (from Ch. 61, par. 3.1-2)
 7        Sec.  3.1-2.  Disabled veterans.  Veterans who, according
 8    to the  determination  of  the  Veterans'  Administration  as
 9    certified  by  the  Department  of  Veterans' Affairs, are at
10    least 10% disabled with service-related  disabilities  or  in
11    receipt  of  total  disability  pensions  may hunt any of the
12    species protected by Section 2.2, during any such times, with
13    any such  devices  and  by  any  such  methods  that  as  are
14    permitted by this Act, without procuring hunting licenses, on
15    the  condition  that  their  respective  disabilities  do not
16    prevent them from hunting in a manner that which is  safe  to
17    themselves and others.
