| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to |
| 3 | | congratulate James Robinson, a native son of Rockford, on his |
| 4 | | accomplishments; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Robinson's football career began at |
| 6 | | Rockford Lutheran School, where he set Illinois High School |
| 7 | | Association all-time records for career rushing yards (9,045), |
| 8 | | rushing touchdowns (158), and total points (948); he then |
| 9 | | attended Illinois State University, where he finished second |
| 10 | | all-time in career rushing yards, touchdowns, and all-purpose |
| 11 | | yards while consistently elevating the reputation of Illinois |
| 12 | | athletics on the national stage; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, James Robinson made NFL history with the |
| 14 | | Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, becoming the first undrafted |
| 15 | | rookie in the common-draft era to record 1,414 scrimmage |
| 16 | | yards, and this achievement earned him PFWA All-Rookie honors, |
| 17 | | being named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month, and being |
| 18 | | listed on NFL Top 100 Players; since then, he has continued his |
| 19 | | professional journey with multiple NFL teams, further |
| 20 | | cementing his reputation as one of the greatest undrafted |
