AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3314

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3314 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Board of Higher Education Act is amended 
5by adding Section 9.47 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 205/9.47 new)
7    Sec. 9.47. Faculty credit hour report. 
8    (a) As used in this Section:
9    "Nontenure-line" means faculty who are not eligible to be 
10tenured or on the tenure track.
11    "Tenure-line" means faculty who are either tenured or on 
12the tenure track.
13    (b) By July 1, 2028 and every July 1 thereafter, the Board 
14shall compile and make available to the public a report that 
15contains the following information for all public institutions 
16of higher education, except for community colleges:

1        (1) the number of credit hours taught by full-time 
2    instructional faculty, organized by institution, tenure 
3    status, including tenure-line and nontenure-line, and 
4    discipline; and
5        (2) the number of credit hours taught by part-time 
6    instructional faculty, organized by institution and 
7    discipline.
 
8    Section 10. The Public Community College Act is amended by 
9adding Section 2-28 as follows:
 
10    (110 ILCS 805/2-28 new)
11    Sec. 2-28. Faculty credit hour report. 
12    (a) As used in this Section:
13    "Nontenure-line" means faculty who are not eligible to be 
14tenured or on the tenure track.
15    "Tenure-line" means faculty who are either tenured or on 
16the tenure track.
17    (b) By July 1, 2028 and every July 1 thereafter, the State 
18Board shall compile and make available to the public a report 
19that contains the following information for all community 
20colleges:
