| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | ARTICLE 1

| 5 | | Section. 5The amount of $250,000, or so much thereof as |
| 6 | | may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue |
| 7 | | Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the |
| 8 | | payment of scholarships to students who qualify for the |
| 9 | | Journalism Student Scholarship Program (110 ILCS 947/65.125).

| 10 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, |
