HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, October 8, 1895 marked the founding of One Hope 
3United (OHU), the social service non-profit that is 
4headquartered in Chicago but whose good works extend across 
5the United States; and
 
6    WHEREAS, OHU strives every day to fulfill its mission of 
7increasing opportunities for children and families by 
8providing quality solutions that enhance lives, communities, 
9and futures; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In furtherance of this mission, OHU provides 
11behavioral health, community-based family services, such as 
12foster care and adoption, and early learning and child 
13development services throughout the city; and
 
14    WHEREAS, In total, OHU serves over 10,000 children and 
15families each year with its evidence-based and trauma-informed 
16practices, behavior health resources, and residential 
17programs; and
 
18    WHEREAS, OHU operates with the vision of "For Every Child 
19and Family, Life Without Limits"; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we declare October 8, 2025 and October 8, 2026 as One Hope 
3United Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That we congratulate One Hope United on its 
5130th anniversary; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to One Hope United as a sign of our respect and 
8esteem.
