HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Arrow Shed, LLC on the 
4occasion of the 80th anniversary of its founding; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed formed on June 6, 1945 under the name 
6Arrow Metal Products, and it became the first commercial coil 
7coater in United States history; the company expanded its 
8productions by introducing aluminum awnings, patio covers, and 
9canopies in 1951; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed expanded its distribution and added an 
11additional facility in Fontana, California a decade later; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed introduced high volume products, 
13including metal sheds and shelving for mass merchants in 1962; 
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed rebranded itself from Arrow Metal 
16Products to Arrow Group Industry Facilities on October 21, 
171969, and its customer base began to change from mass 
18merchants to rational home centers and co-op membership 
19groups, including ACE Hardware, The Home Depot, and Lowes; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed saw several key developments during

1the 1980s; the company was acquired by the investment group 
2Dyson-Kissner-Moran in 1981, developed key customer 
3relationships with The Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears, developed 
4vinyl-coated steel, and relocated its engineering and 
5fabrication development to Breese; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed adopted its current name, Arrow Shed, 
7LLC, in 2011; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed has expanded its business partnerships 
9and continues to provide metal sheds, garages, and accessories 
10to customers all over the country; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Arrow Shed's 80th anniversary celebration will be 
12held on April 30, 2025; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
14HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
15we congratulate Arrow Shed, LLC on the 80th anniversary of its 
16founding, and we wish it many more successful years; and be it 
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to Arrow Shed as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
