AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1442 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1442 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing 
5Section 17-13.5 as follows:
 
6    (10 ILCS 5/17-13.5)
7    Sec. 17-13.5. Curbside voting. Election authorities shall 
8may establish curbside voting for individuals with a 
9disability to cast a ballot during early voting and or on 
10election day. An election authority's curbside voting program 
11shall designate at least 2 election judges from opposite 
12parties per vehicle, and the individual shall have the 
13opportunity to mark the ballot without interference from the 
14election judges. An election authority shall post signs 
15outside of a polling place and adjacent to the curbside voting 
16location indicating that an individual with a disability may

1cast a ballot at the curbside voting location. An election 
2authority shall establish a method for an individual with a 
3disability to contact a poll worker in order to vote at the 
4curbside voting location, such as a posted phone number, 
5doorbell device, or the stationing of a poll worker at the 
6curbside voting location.
