SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of George J. Lundahl of East Moline, who 
4passed away on August 4, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Lundahl, the son of Enoch and Lucille 
6(Roussell) Lundahl, was born in Moline on February 3, 1945; he 
7graduated from United Township High School in 1963; he served 
8in the U.S. Air Force; he married Darlene K. Hoos in Walcott, 
9Iowa on March 15, 1975; and
 
10    WHEREAS, George Lundahl owned and operated Lundahl 
11Residential Drafting Co.; and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Lundahl loved his work and his family; he 
13enjoyed making memories with those around him; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Lundahl was preceded in death by his 
15grandson, Joshua Figary; his parents; and his sister, Jean 
16Reiff; and
 
17    WHEREAS, George Lundahl is survived by his wife of 49 
18years, Darlene; his children, Jennifer Figary, Brian Lundahl, 
19Brenda Lundahl, Michelle (Rick) Ortiz, and Patti Lundahl; six 
20grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, with one more on the

1way; two nephews; two nieces; and other family members; 
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5George J. Lundahl and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of George Lundahl as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
