AMENDMENT TO SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 49 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ___. Amend Senate Joint Resolution 49 as 
3follows:
 
4    on page 1, line 8, after "clinician," by inserting "as 
5well as high student to staff ratios,"; and
 
6    on page 1, by deleting lines 11 through 13 and replacing it 
7with:
8            "WHEREAS, The National Association of Social 
9    Workers and the School Social Workers Association of 
10    America recommend that the ratio of school social workers 
11    to general education students should not exceed one to 250 
12    and the ratio of school social workers to students with 
13    IEPs and other students with high levels of need not 
14    exceed one to 50; and"; and
 
15    on page 1, line 15, by replacing "caseload" with "ratio";

2    on page 1, line 18, by replacing "caseload" with "ratio"; 
3and
 
4    on page 2, by deleting lines 3 through 5 and replacing it 
5with:

7    Association recommends that individual caseloads of 
8    speech-language pathologists should be based on the total 
9    workload activities required and performed by school-based 
10    speech-language pathologists; therefore, be it"; and
 
11    on page 2, line 12, after "caseloads" by inserting "or 
12staff to student ratios".
