HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Teresa Ann Hubka, D.O. of 
4Chicago on the occasion of her being named national president 
5of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); and
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka's successful election as the 128th 
7national president marks the first time an Illinois doctor 
8will serve as president of the AOA; she will also be the first 
9OB-GYN and only the second woman in the organization's history 
10to serve in this position; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka is the founder and director of her own 
12practice specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and 
13reproductive health, providing complete health services to 
14women of all ages; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka brings a wealth of experience and 
16knowledge in women's health, and she is passionate about 
17educating patients, nurses, students, and physicians; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dr. Hubka will be sworn in as national president 
19of the AOA on June 20, 2024; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate Teresa Ann Hubka, D.O. on being named national 
3president of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); and 
4be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
6presented to Dr. Hubka and the AOA as an expression of our 
7esteem and respect.
