HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Herbert H. "Herb" Frohock 
4III on the occasion of his retirement as business manager and 
5financial secretary-treasurer of the United Association of 
6Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 553 (UA Local 553); and
 
7    WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was initiated into UA Local 553 on 
8July 1, 1982, and he has been an officer since 2004 when he was 
9first elected to the Examining Board, holding that position 
10until 2012; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was then elected to the Executive 
12Board of UA Local 553, serving until 2015; during that time, he 
13was appointed business representative in 2013, a position he 
14also held until 2015; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Herb Frohock was elected as business manager and 
16financial secretary-treasurer of UA Local 553 in 2015, a 
17position he will conclude on February 1, 2024; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Herb Frohock has held a number of leadership 
19roles in various other organizations, including serving as 
20vice president of the Illinois Pipe Trades Association, labor 
21chair of the United Way of Greater St. Louis Auxiliary Board of

1the Southwest Illinois Division, and labor representative for 
2the United Way of Greater St. Louis Board of Directors; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Herb Frohock is the husband of Dawn Frohock and 
4the father of sons and fellow UA Local 553 members, H. Hadley 
5Frohock IV and Hunter Frohock; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Herbert H. "Herb" Frohock III on his 
9retirement from the United Association of Plumbers & 
10Pipefitters Local 553 (UA Local 553) after 41 years of 
11service, and we extend our best wishes to all of his future 
12endeavors; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Herb Frohock as an expression of our esteem and 
15respect.
