AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4426 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4426, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment 
4No. 1, on page 3, line 2, after "certificate", by inserting 
5"issued under this Act"; and
 
6by replacing line 9 on page 5 through line 10 on page 6 with 
7the following:
 
8    "(225 ILCS 415/5)  (from Ch. 111, par. 6205)
9    (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2025)
10    Sec. 5. Title.  
11     Every person to whom a valid existing certificate as a 
12certified shorthand reporter has been issued under this Act 
13shall be designated as a Certified Shorthand Reporter and not 
14otherwise, and any such certified shorthand reporter may, in 
15connection with the certified shorthand reporter's his or her 
16practice of shorthand reporting, use the abbreviation "C.S.R."

1or the title "Court Reporter". 
2     No person other than the holder of a valid existing 
3certificate under this Act shall use the title or designation 
4of "Certified Shorthand Reporter", "Court Reporter", or 
5"C.S.R.", either directly or indirectly in connection with his 
6or her profession or business.
