AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1342 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1342, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment 
4No. 2, on page 13, line 13, by replacing "parties" with 
5"parties, including legal counsel,"; and


 
6on page 13, line 18, after "accused", by inserting "or the 
7accused's legal counsel"; and


 
8on page 16, line 1, by replacing "January" with "July"; and


 
9on page 16, immediately below line 4, by inserting the 
10following:

11    "(c)   For the purposes of determining compliance with this 
12Section, a Service Board shall not be deemed to be in violation 
13of this Section when failure to comply is due to:
14        (1)   the unavailability of zero-emission buses from a 
15    manufacturer;

1        (2)   the lack of necessary charging, fueling, or 
2    storage facilities; or
3        (3)   the inability of a third party to enter into a 
4    contractual or commercial relationship with a Service 
5    Board that is necessary to carry out the purposes of this 
6    Section."; and


 
7on page 18, line 16, by replacing "parties" with "parties, 
8including legal counsel,"; and


 
9on page 18, line 21, after "accused", by inserting "or the 
10accused's legal counsel"; and


 
11on page 20, line 20, after "cards", by inserting "with a value 
12of $20 per card".
